L’artista di Chicago Justin Gershenson, ideatore del progetto A Mechanical Mind, fin da bambino amava smontare i giocattoli per capire il loro funzionamento, pur non essendo poi in grado di rimetterli insieme. Un’attitudine che lo ha portato oggi ad utilizzare meccanismi estratti da vecchi orologi per assemblare originali sculture ispirate al mondo degli insetti.

Chicago-based artist Justin Gershenson is the thinker and assembler behind A Mechanical Mind. He confesses that as a child, he liked taking his toys apart in order to see how they worked, but was never able to put them back together again. Now, he likes taking dead old watches and sucessfully rearranges their bits and widgets into whimsical designs such as these steampunk insects.
