“Does the man make the beard or does the beard make the man?“. This dilemma is definitely the essence of the 2013 Beard and Mustache Championships in New Orleans. The american photographer Greg Anderson traveled there in order to document this wide range of dynamic personalities in a collection of portraits composed by weird colors, styles, curls and twists. Eighteen different categories of proud participants, ready to exhibit their elaborate and creative facial decor, competing for the gold medal. Probably the beard makes the man.
