La fotografia ad infrarossi non è una tecnica che abbiamo scoperto ora, anzi, viene usata da molto tempo sia per fini scientifici (ad esempio in astronomia) che artistici. I filtri infrarossi rimuovono le lunghezze d’onda della luce visibile e ultravioletta e lasciano passare unicamente la luce infrarossa. A volte il risultato è davvero interessante e commovente come nella serie che il fotografo Elektraua ha dedicato alla città di Kiev.
